My PhD project aims to understand carbon dioxide geological sequestration using molecular modeling techniques. I use both electronic structure techniques (Density Functional Theory) and force field based techniques (Molecular Dynamics) to study the phases of and interactions between carbon dioxide, water, organic molecules, and calcite surfaces.

My scientific background is a MSc in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry from University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and a BSc in Chemistry from Università degli studi di Palermo (Italy).
